Historical Background:
After the battle of Gambela, Congolese units advanced towards the city of Saïo (Dembi Dollo) and took positions on three hills on both sides of the Bortaï river. In the morning of 15th of April 1941, the Italian troops attacked. Camouflaged by the tall grass near the river, the Italians tried to surround Congolese units on the two hills north of the river. But the Belgian machine-guns company, placed on the southern hill, opened fire on the river. The battle was confused all the day, until the Congolese withdrawal on Mokalalu river. But at that time, the "Force Publique" didn't know nothing about the Italian withdrawal occurred in the evening.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
