Historical Background: Hungary declared war to Soviet Union on the 27th of June 1941, five days after the beginning of Operation Barbarossa. The most important Hungarian unit was the Rapid Army Corps (Gyorshadtest) was attached to the German 17.Armee and participated to the surrounding of two soviet armies in the Uman pocket, south of Kiev. The Hungarian Rapid Army Corps was composed of the 1st Cavalry Brigade, 1st and 2nd Motorized Brigade. While Panzergruppe Guderian, with 16.PanzerDivision as vanguard, advanced from the north by Novo-Archangelsk, Hungarian units forced the way to Pervomaisk to close the pocket. On the 6th of August 1941,the Rapid Army Corps, more particularly the 1st Cavalry Brigade, had to fight in the area of Golovanevsk,to numerous Soviet units trying to exit the pocket. Finally only 100 000 Soviet soldiers were captured in the Uman pocket. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. Exit markers are in effect on the five hexagons of the central section of the Axis baseline, for the Allied forces.
