There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
The Battle of Arnhem was the largest parachute drop in history, 35,000 men. U.S. and British paratroopers were to take several key bridges for the Allied Forces. The plan was to get Allied tanks all the way from Holland into the heart of Germany. Unfortunately, the armored forces bogged down against German resistance. The British paratroopers landed near the last bridge at Arnhem, only to realize that they had landed on two German armored divisions. Frost's battalion was cut off at the bridge, in control of one side. Despite continued air drops, the paratroopers were overwhelmed by German tanks and infantry attacks. Tiger tanks hammered Frost's men on the bridge until they were no more. The British armor arrived to late at Arnhem and only 2,000 out of 10,000 British paratroopers escaped across the river.

Both sides take 6 cards. British paratroopers drop in, then British player attacks. Bridge medals are temporary medals. Hexagon D4 is fordable to represent the River Ferry which existed at that time.

Conditions of Victory:
8 medals for both sides

Special Rules:
The British paratroopers were being worn down by the battle as evidenced by the 3 man units. 4 tank units are German tiger units.
