Historical Background: After the success of the landing at Malaya Zemlya, Soviet troops of North-Caucasus Front were reinforced and continued their attack against German and Rumanian troops of the 5.Armee Korps in order to enlarge the bridgehead. Fierce battles occurred for the capture of Hill 448 which overlooked the whole area. On the 15th of February 1943, Soviet troops controlled the hill and enough ground to defend the bridgehead which remained active until September 1943. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Romania/Germany] : 6 command cards. Allied player [Soviet Union] : 6 command cards, you move first.
Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. Hill 448 is a temporary medal objective for the Allied player.
Special Rules: - Use "Specialized Units" rules (Troops 2) for Axis and Allied infantry units with "Special forces" badges. - Use "Combat Engineers" rules (Troops 4) for the three Allied units with "Engineer" badges. - The Axis player Lays out the minefields (Terrain 29).
