Historical Background: Soviet troops entrenched on Mount Mithridate after their escape from Eltigen,alarmed the German command of 5.Armee Korps : it was a threat for the German troops involved in the battle against the Soviet beachhead at Ganikale. The 3rd Romanian Mountain Division was ordered to recapture Mount Mithridate and to eliminate this threat. The Romanian soldiers, with the support of German assault guns, attacked on the 11th of December 1943 and reduced the Soviet defensive positions on the hill. Only some Soviet soldiers could escape and were evacuated by the Azov Flotilla. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. The top of Mount Mithridate (hexagon with medal token) is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.
