Historical Background: At the beginning of Operation Crusader, while the 22nd Armoured Brigade was fighting against Italian Division Ariete at Bir El Gobi, the 7th Armoured Brigade Crossed the so-call South Escarpment and attacked Sidi Rezegh airfield used by Italian aircraft of the Regia Aeronautica. After a short battle where some aircraft were destroyed while taking off, Italians surrendered. The 7th Armoured Brigade made a reconnaissance mission to the east of Sidi Resegh plain and found German Afrika Regiment 361 at Point 175. Without any infantry support, the 7th Armoured Brigade stayed on the captured airfield, waiting from the reinforcement of the 7th Support Group. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
