Historical Background:
On the Sollum front, while the 7th Indian Brigade was attacking the Omars, the 21st NZ battalion (New Zealand Division) advanced to Bir Ghirba. With the support of an artillery battery placed near Gabr el Maduar, three New Zealand infantry companies attacked the Bir Ghirba strong point which was the HQ of the Italian division "Savona". entrenched behind a minefield and a barbed wire fence, the Italian soldiers opened an heavy fire with all weapons on the New Zealand infantrymen which stopped them inflicting heavy losses. With any possibility to win against this fierce defense, the New Zealand soldiers withdrew the next morning, leaving the Italian position unconquered.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Allied player [New Zealand] : 5 command cards, you move first.

Conditions of Victory:
6 medals.
The Italian HQ is a temporary medal objective for the Allied player.

Special Rules:
- Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5) to all Allied units.
- Use "Royal Italian Army" rules (Nations 6) to all Axis units. Badges are not required.
- Use "Oasis Recovery" rules (Action 10).
- Use "Capture HQ/supply tent" rules (Actions 17).
- The Axis player lays out the minefields (Terrains 29).
