Historical Background: Because of the desperate situation of Axis troops in the Sidi Rezegh area, the Oberstleutnant Westphal, Chief of staff of the Panzer Gruppe Afrika, ordered the Afrika Korps who was fighting on the Egyptian border under the command of Rommel, to come back on the Tobruk area. On the 27th of November, the 21.Panzer Division moved on the Via Balbia from Bardia but was quickly stopped at Bir el Menastir by the 22nd NZ Battalion. After a fierce battle, the Germans left the Via Balbia and took the Trigh Capuzzo, which was a delay of several hours. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Germany] : 6 command cards, you move first. Allied player [New Zealand] : 5 command cards.
Conditions of Victory: 5 medals. For the Axis player, exit marker is in effect on the road hexagon "vers Gambut" (Actions 23).
Special Rules: - Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5) to all Allied units. - Use "Antitank Weapons" rules (SWA 1 & 2) to Allied infantry units with SWA badge. - Use "North African Desert" rules (Actions 9). - The Allied player lays out the minefields (Terrains 29).
