Historical Background: After the battle of Djukovo in November 1941, the Legion of French Volunteers Against Bolshevism (LVF) was withdrawn from the German first lines in the Eastern Front. After a serious reorganization, the LVF was used as anti-partisan unit on the rear of the front in White Russia (now Belarus). In November 1942, the 1st company of LVF surrounded the small village of Somry, in the wooden area of Borisov, where Soviet partisans have been observed. The LVF attacked the village with the help of the Cossack squadron n° 600, allied to the Germans. At the end of the battle, about 60 Soviet partisans have been destroyed. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history.
