Historical Background: In the morning of the 21st of June, the Senegalese soldiers of BM1 (Free French) arrived in the village of Kadem, in the south suburbs of Damascus. They were stopped by the fire of Senegalese soldiers of 17th Senegalese Regiment (Vichy French Army). In the area of the windmill, the Foreign Legion (Free French) was stopped too by the fire of a machine-gun entrenched in the windmill. The battle continued near the Normand Barracks were some Vichy soldiers were entrenched. The Free French had to use their field guns in direct fire against the walls of the barracks to force the Vichy garrison to surrender. This was, at that time, the end of the battle for Damascus. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history.
