Historical Background: After the capture of Silvolde and Varsseveld, the 8th British Armoured Brigade had to cross the Twente Canal. German troops had destroyed all bridges at Delden, but a crossing was possible using the lock in the south-west of Delden. B company of 12th King's Royal Rifle Corps tried to capture the lock by a bold attack, but the German defenders repelled the British attack by an heavy fire of mortars and machine-guns. The 12th KRRC suffered heavy losses in this attempt. Twente Canal was crossed some time after at Hengelo by units of the 4th Canadian Armoured Division. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. The two hexagons marked by a medal token are each a temporary medal objective for the Allied player.
Special Rules: - Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5). - Special Weapon Asset rules (SWAs 4 - Special Weapon Assets>1942) are in effect for units equipped with Mortars (SWAs 6) and Machine-Guns (SWAs 7).
