Historical Background: In November 1941, during the last stage of the East Africa campaign, the British army attacked the mountainous area of Amhara defended by troops of Italian General Nasi. After the surrender of Uolchefit and Culquaber Pass garrisons, the Commonwealth troops arrived in front of Gondar, the last bastion of the Italian army in Abyssinia. On the 27th of November, the British attack began by the capture of Azozo airfield. Then the battle became a street fighting in the city of Gondar, to reach the Fasil Castle. At that time, the Italian defense was without hope. On the 30th of November, the last Italian defenders surrendered. With the fall of Gondar was the end of the Italian empire in East Africa. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
