Historical Background: On the 08th of March 1945, following the aggressive defense ordered by General Cowan, a mobile column of the 63rd Indian Brigade advancing to Piawbwe, was attacked by Japanese in the village of Wetlet. The 106th Japanese Infantry Regiment had transformed the village in a strong point with bunkers, minefields, snipers, machine-guns, mortars and anti-tank guns. The 63rd Brigade had to fight hardly during three days to clear the village. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history.
