There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
Weeks of fighting in Stalingrad had still decided very little. German assaults on the Tractor works had resulted in many casualties on both sides. With the new arrival of General Zholudev 37th Guards Infantry Division, the Russian defences had been strengthened considerably.
Both sides took a day to re-group and plan their next assault. Elements of the German 389th Infantry Division supported by Elements of the XIV Panzer Corps took the initiative and launched their attack first.
The Russian 37th Guards fell back, but inflicted heavy casualties on the Germans for every foot of ground they took. At the conclusion of the battle the Germans had only managed to capture 1 block of flats in the Tractor housing Estates. The battle along the banks of the Volga River would continue.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

German Player: 5 Cards
You move first
Russian Player: 4 Cards

Conditions of Victory:
6 Medals.
A victory medal location does NOT count as a Victory Medal for the German side.
Instead, if the German player can capture the Tractor Works*, and any 2 of the 3 other objective location hexes they win immediately.
As long as the German unit remains on the hex, it is considered captured. If the unit moves off or is eliminated, it no longer counts.
*To Capture Tractor Works (3 hexes), your side must occupy more of the Building hexes than your opponent.

Special Rules:
Blitz Rules are in effect (see p.4).
Russian Command rules are in effect (refer to p.3).
The Russian Special Forces Infantry are Engineer units. Place a Russian Engineer Badge in the same hex with these units to distinguish them from the other units. See p.6 for details about Engineers.
The German Special forces Infantry is an Elite unit. It may move 2 & still battle. Place a German Special forces Badge in the same hex with these units to distinguish them from the other units.
The Fortified Building is treated as a Church for Rule purposes.
A Hedgehog obstacle hexes represent piles of debris and has the same effect as a Hedgehog.
The single figure Russian unit is a Sniper.
