Historical Background: To support the German operation "Marita", Italian troops made an offensive from Albania. The column "Dibra", composed with the alpine division "Cuneense", the infantry division "Firenze", the cavalry regiment "Lancieri di Milano" and one company of L3/35 light tanks, attacked toward the city of Debar. But the advance was slowed by very bad weather, deep snow and heavy fog and the fierce resistance of the Yugoslav soldiers. On the 9th of April, in the Ostrenit valley, the column "Dibra" was stopped by the heavy fire of two battalions of the 47th Yugoslav regiment reinforced by some irregular troops. The Italians needed two days of hard fighting in the snow to exit this valley and joined the "Alpini" of the battalion "Dronero" arriving from the north. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
