Historical Background: On the 28th of May, the Italian armored division Ariete, advanced from Bir Hakeim to Bir El Harmat to catch up the Afrika Korps. At the crossing of Trigh El Abd, The Ariete was attacked in a pincer movement with tanks of the 2nd Armoured Brigade coming from the east and infantry tanks of the 44th Royal Tank Regiment coming from the west. But the Italian division succeeded to repulse the British tanks and could continue its advance to join Rommel and his troops. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Italy] : 6 command cards. Allied player [United Kingdom] : 4 command cards, you move first.
Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. Bir El Harmat is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.
Special Rules: - Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5) to all Allied units. - Use "Royal Italian Army" rules (Nations 6) to all Axis units. - Use "Specialized Units" rules (Troops 2) to all Italian infantry units. - Use "Elite Armor" rules (Troops 2) to the two Allied armor units with four figures. These tanks are moving slow, they can move only one or two hexes and fight. - Use "Mobile Artillery" (Troops 14) to the italian artillery unit. - Use "North African Desert" rules (Actions 9). - Use "Oasis Recovery" rules (Action 10).
