There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
The Army 6th is surrounded following the succesful URANUS russian operation. The cauldron is on place and the Army of Paulus is beginning its long agony

In Overlord mode, the junction tiles are similar to those on each side (2 tiles of frozen river, 5 tiles of plain and 1 tile of rail)
Volga rive is not fordable and cannot be crossed as the ice is not fixed yet
The others river are frozen

Conditions of Victory:

The airfields of Pitonmik and Goumrak give a temporary medal to the side controling them (see specific rules)
3 temporary medals if one side removes all the units of the other side into Stalingrad (All the tiles of ruins and factories) and controls the city with at least one unit
Mamaïev hill is a temporary medal to the side who has an unit on.

Special Rules:
Axis is retreating to Stalingrad in direction of the tile of the Airfied Goumrak. The russian armies 24th, 65th,21th and 57th are retreating to the Axis side.
For each German Airfield under russian control, one card is removed from the hand of the Axis player by the Allied side player (in breakthrough mode, apply this rule for the Airfield Pitonmik and Goumrak only). If an Airfield under russian control is taken back by the Germans at the end of the German side turn, then the Axis player takes back a second card. An Airfield is under control if at least one unit is placed on the Airfield hex or an adjacent hex without other side unit. Furthermore, Pitonmik and Goumrak Airfields give a temporary medal to the side controling them. The Axis player cannot get less than 3 cards into his hand.
Apply the Winter Rule of Snowfall
Changing Weather : At the beginning of his turn, the Russian player rolls 1 dice. If the result is an Infantry, apply the Rule of Limited View. If you use the expansion New Flight Plan, in cas of lLimited View turn, remove the airplanes present on the board and no new airplane activation allowed.
If you use the Winter cards, remove the card "Repositioning"
If a russian unit is reaching the hex of the Ammunition Depot (Supply Depot tile), close the airfield of Pitonmik, then the german tanks moves will be reduced to only one hex, as no more oil available for them
If the Axis player draw "Air attack", he has to discard it and draw a new card. If you play with New Flight Plan the Axis player begins with only 1 card of Air Fight (2 cards for the Russian player)
Apply the Material Rule (Matérial 4 - Rules of Material 1942>)
Commissar Rule is not applied
