Historical Background: After the crossing of Amur River which is the border between USSR and Manchuria, Soviet troops of the 2nd Far East front advanced to the strategical city of Harbin. Sailing on the Sungari River, the Amur Military Flotilla stopped in front of Fuchin and soldiers of the 364th Rifle Regiment landed in the night 10 to 11 August, with the support of naval artillery fire of the Monitors "Krasnyi Vostok", "Lenin" and "Sun Yat Sen". The Soviet Riflemen were reinforced by the vanguard of the 171st Tank Brigade arriving by the eastern road.I Japanese soldiers of the Security Battalion made a fierce resistance in the city and the battle became a rough street fighting. The city of Fuchin was definitively captured on the 13th of August. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
