There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
The first days of the Warsaw Uprising were crucial in establishing the battlefield for the rest of the fight. During the first four days, there was an intense battle for the districts in Warsaw. Under-equipped resistance forces were prepared and trained for a series of coordinated surprise dawn attacks. In addition, many units were already mobilized and waiting at assembly points throughout the city.

The resistance fighters were most successful in the districts: City Centre, Old Town and Wola. Fighters in different areas failed to link up with each other and with areas outside Warsaw, leaving each sector isolated from the others. After four days the Armia Krajowa controlled large areas in Warsaw and the fight was on for the liberation of the city.

The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
