Historical Background: In early May 1940, the 51st Highland Division was seperated of the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) and was in outpost of the Maginot line in the Saar valley. Scottish units were deployed on the "contact line" in a wooden area near the German border. On the first ligth of the 13th of May, the German attacked the Scottish positions by infiltration between the woods. One platoon of Black Watch in the village of Betting was surrounded by the enemy,it seemed that the Germans wanted to occupy the Grossenwald. During three days, the Scottish soldiers resisted to the enemy, recapturing some positions lost the first day of the battle. On the 15th of May, because of the German pressure, General Fortune, commander of the division, ordered a withdrawal on a new position along Kalenhofen ridge. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Germany] : 6 command cards, you move first. Allied player [United Kingdom] : 6 command cards.
Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. The hexagon of Grossenwald is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.
Special Rules: - Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5) to all Allied units. - The Allied tank unit is only two figures. It's a light tank unit with Mk VIb. - Remove the "Air Power" card before to begin the game.
