Historical Background:
In the morning of the 7th of June, another German attack was made towards the north access of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, coming from Neuville-au-Plain. This infantry attack, ordered directly on place by General von Schlieben commander of the 709.ID, was supported by a platoon of assault guns and a battery of 88mm guns. On the other side, the US paratroopers of Dog Company, 2/505 PIR (Lt-col Vandervoort) in charge of the roadblock in the north, made an heavy resistance and stopped the enemy which threatened by the same the Division HQ of General Ridgway, establish in the vicinity. One of the assault guns was destroyed near the building where was the Lt-col Vandervoort. Finally the Germans withdrew to Neuville-au-Plain.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Axis player [Germany] : 5 command cards, you move first.
Allied player [United States] : 6 command cards.

Conditions of Victory:
6 medals.
For the Axis player, exit marker rules are in effect on the road hexagon near Sainte-Mère-Eglise (Action 23).
The capture of the Ridgway HQ is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.

Special Rules:
- Use "Specialized Units" rules (Troops 2) for all Allied units. Badges are not required.
- Use "Heavy Anti-Tank Guns" rules (Troops 23) to the Axis artillery battery with 88 badge.
- Use "Capture HQ/supply tent" rules (Actions 17).
