Historical Background:
Allied troops (France, United Kingdom, Poland and Norway) engaged in the Narvik area, had to give a last effort to seize the harbor of Narvik, terminal point of the famous "Iron road" from the bordering Sweden. This was the second Allied landing under fire of the Second World War. This landing, made by soldiers of the French 13th DBLE (Foreign Legion), some Norwegian troops and only two light tanks, was supported by the fire of HMS Cairo. French troops had to seize the railway which was the German defense line with tunnels converted in bunkers and hold by a mix of German paratroopers, mountain troops and disembarked sailors. After a fierce combat and an unsuccessful German counter-attack, the French troops entered in Narvik. Mission complete... for nothing : the same day , they received the order to re-embark to come back in France where the defeat is already played.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
