Historical Background: During Operation Flounced, the raid on Brac Island, the 2nd Battalion Highland Light Infantry had to capture a German Observation Point on Vidova Gora, a high point which overhang the area. In the same time, a brigade of Yugoslav partisans, landed at Bol, had to cover the operation on the south flank and to prevent the enemy to send reinforcements to Vidova Gora. Landed in the night, the "Jocks" (HLI soldiers) climbed the rocky steep hills but were quickly under the fire of German mortars, pinned down between barbed wire and minefields. The HLI was repelled by the enemy well entrenched and determinate to resist. On the 2nd of June, the British commandos on the north tried to capture another German strong point near Nerezisca. But it was a new setback and finally the Allied troops re-embarked on the 4th of June. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
