Historical Background:
A Franco-American troop is given the mission to liberate a prison camp during the fighting in the Philippines.
Soldier Lacroix, one of the prisoners, is supposed to have vital information on enemy positions, thus a nice little well-armed column is sent towards the camp.
The plan unfolds without a hitch, until the moment when a band of Japanese, red with rage and revenge, decides to leave the surrounding jungle to massacre the allied troops on the trail which leads to the camp.
Suddenly, it’s a fight with much gnashing and gnawing of teeth.
A real terror in the depths of the jungle.

Briefing:
6 command cards for each side.
The French play first.

Conditions of Victory:
8 medals.
Each French unit that leaves the board by the road earns a medal.
A French unit occupying the prison camp earns a temporary medal

Special Rules:
Gung Ho rule: Allies activate one more unit than the number shown on the card.
French resistance rule: a unit can enter a forest or a village and then fight.
Japanese three-figure units are complete units and can advance two hexes and fire with an additional die if they are in contact with enemy units at that time.
