Historical Background:
A Franco-American troop is given the mission to liberate a prison camp during the fighting in the Philippines.
Soldier Lacroix, one of the prisoners, is supposed to have vital information on enemy positions, thus a nice little well-armed column is sent towards the camp.
The plan unfolds without a hitch, until the moment when a band of Japanese, red with rage and revenge, decides to leave the surrounding jungle to massacre the allied troops on the trail which leads to the camp.
Suddenly, it’s a fight with much gnashing and gnawing of teeth.
A real terror in the depths of the jungle.
