Historical Background: The Italians had made a roadblock on the way to Keren by collapsing rocks on the road, so the British troops (mainly 4th Indian Division) had to launch their offensive across the mountains. On the 5th of February the 2nd Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders attacked hill 1616 towards Mount Sanchil. Hill 1616, once captured was named "Cameron Ridge". The day after, Indian soldiers of the 3/14th Punjab Regiment crossed the positions of the Camerons to attack Brig's Peak. But they sustained a counter-attack by the Italians of the "Granatieri di Savoia" division which repulsed them on Cameron Ridge. The battle for Keren had begun and seemed to be a long and difficult battle. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history !
