Historical Background: The German offensive called "Frühlingswind" began onthe 14th of February 1943. A sand storm hid the German advance and gave them a tactical surprise. The 10.Panzer Division, with some "Tiger" heavy tanks, attacked Djebel Lassouda while the 21.Panzer Division bypassed the US defenses by the south. The two German divisions met west of Sidi Bouzid, inflicting heavy losses to US troops. The next day, tanks of the Combat Command C counter-attacked in the area of Djebel Hamra. German troops supported by the Luftwaffe , repelled US troops after a slaughter of US tanks (62 lost on 66 involved in the battle). US infantry was abandoned on their defensive positions and had no choice other to flee or to surrender to the Germans. This disaster was the prelude of the battle of Kasserine Pass. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
