Historical Background:
During the battle of Sangro River, two brigades of the 2nd New Zealand Division crossed the river on the 28th of November, to attack German defenses on hills situated five kilometers north of the river. On the 2nd of December, after four days of heavy fighting, New Zealandese soldiers reached their objective by the capture of the fortified village Castel Frentano.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Briefing:
Axis player [Germany] : 5 command cards.
Allied player [United Kingdom/New Zealand] : 6 command cards, you move first.

Conditions of Victory:
7 medals.
Castel Frentano is a temporary medal-objective for the Allied player.

Special Rules:
- Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5) to all Allied units.
- Use "Collapsibles rafts & boats" rules (Actions 5) for the all Allied infantry units with battle star.
- The Axis player lays out the minefields (Terrains 29).
- Use "Pontoon Bridge" rules (Terrain 33). The Allied player could place two bridges in the game. A bridge could be installed only when an Allied unit had landed on the other bank of the Sangro River, in the same section.
