Historical Background:
06thof June 1944, 06h30 - Les Moulins.
Because of the sea stream, Golf Company of 116th RCT arrived without many casualties on Dog red sector in front of Exit D3, except two platoons landed on Easy Green under the fire of German strongpoint Wn66. Fox Company landed on Dog Red and Easy green and suffered heavy losses. So, the first assault wave was disrupted on the beach and it was only with the landing of the second assault wave that US troops broke through the German defense and bypassed by west the Wn68 strongpoint to exit the beach. At the end of the "longuest day", Wn68 was captured but Wn 66 resisted during the whole night.
