Historical Background:
The Bataan campaign was in the end. On the 8th of April, a Japanese column with 6 tanks of the 7th Armored Regiment ahead was advancing on the road 20. Near the bridge on Alangan River, a roadblock had been made and defended by units of 14th Engineers and 26th Cavalry. In the following battle, the tanks opened fire on the US positions while the Japanese infantry outflanked the defenders and forced them to withdraw. The next day, 9th of April, the Allied troops in Bataan capitulated.
