Historical Background: 22nd of December 1941 - Lingayen Gulf. Japanese troops landed in the dark of the night, with the 9th Regiment in front of Bauang and the 48th Division with the support of two tanks regiments in front of Aringay and Agoo villages. The only Philippine battalion in the area resisted hardly. Machine guns into defensive positions inflicted many casualties to the invaders. But defenders were overcome by numbers before the end of the day. This allowed to the landed troops to link up with the other Japanese troop coming from Aparri in the north of Luzon. The way to Manila was open. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
