Historical Background:

The German elite infantry kept pushing the Allies back away from Paris until they reached the Ridges of Marseille. Their goal was to reach the Mediterranean and cross to support the Italians in the Desert Campaign. Unfortunately, the Allies knew the ridges too well, and what spots were vital to their defense.

After a short day of failed attempts, none of the German elite were able to penetrate the Allies's defenses and were eventually forced to fall back to central France.

Both players get 6 cards. Axis goes first.

Conditions of Victory:
5 Medals

The exit hexes on the Allied baseline are for the German units.

If the Allies control all four of the medal hexes on the ridges, they get a medal. This medal does not count if the Axis player wins. These were designated as special spots that were vital in keeping the German forces out.

Special Rules:
All German Infantry are elite units (Troops - 2)

All hills are steep hills (Terrain - 13)

Any unit on either ridge has LoS to everywhere on the battlefield (that is in range), except where blocked by a ridges or a unit on a ridge.
