Historical Background: During the invasion of Norway (Operation Weserübung), while 3.Gebirgs Division was landing in Trondheim, some Norwegian soldiers, under the command of Major Holtermann and refusing the surrender, took refuge in the old Ingstadkleiva fort, also called Hegra Fortress. From 15th to 17th of April 1940, 138.Gebirsjaëger Regiment attacked from Hegra village to capture the fortress without any result but heavy casualties. Further,the fortress was besieged and only on the fire of field artillery and Lutfwaffe bombers. On the 5th of May 1940,with the end of the Allied campaign in Norway, and because of lack of food and water, the fortress garrison surrendered. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Germany] : 6 command cards, you move first. Allied player Norway] : 4 command cards.
Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. The middle barracks hex and the intact bridge are each a permanent medal objective for the Axis player.
Special Rules: - Use "Steep Hills" rules (Terrain 13). - Use "Frozen River" rules (Terrain 47). - Woods and barracks of the fortress are at the same level than hills around. - Use "Blowing up Bridges" rules for the Allied player (Actions - option 2). - Use "Blitz" rules (Action 15). - "Air Power" card is removed of the game before to play.
