Historical Background: In Sicily, Monty's troops were stopped in front of the Etna, on the Hube Line. Gal Wimberley, commanding officer of the 51st Highland Division, was in charge to capture Gerbini Airfield. 23rd Armoured Brigade reinforced by infantrymen of 7th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders was ordered to form the "Arrow Force" and to battle. The offensive began on the 17th of July and after some first success, was stopped by the Simeto river. Scottish infantry crossed the river but was stopped again by barbed wire and machine-guns who shield the airfield and by some counter-attacks of infantry and panzers of the Hermann Goering Division. After the failure of this last attack, Montgomery ordered to Gal Wimberley to stop the offensive. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history !
