By May 14th 1940, the German Blitzkrieg of France or Unternehman Fall Gelb was in full swing. After breaking through the defense at the Meuse river, General Hoth's 15th Panzer Corps, made up of the 5th and 7th Panzer divisions neared Martin's Defense Line, in the area called Dinant. The First French armored division was sent out to engage them. After being pushed back from the Surinvaux wood the French quickly counter-attacked. They swep in at the left flank, engaging the 7th Armour division (commanded by General Erwin Rommel). They were soon outmaneuvered. Forced to retreat they fled back behind their lines and waited for the oncoming onslaught.

Conditions of Victory:
The town of Merlemont is a Temporary Objective Medal for the Axis forces.
The Axis Forces have these following advantages (Blitz Rules):
-Allied tanks may only move 2 hexes. Axis may move 3.
-Recon for the Axis are played as an Air Power (see the Air Power grey card for details)
On top of the Blitz Rules, due to superior Air support, the Germans role 2 dice in an Air Power. The French may only role 1.
