Historical Background:
After the unsuccessful attempt to size the passes through the Southern Carpathians, the Second Hungarian army, along with the German 'Gruppe Siebenburgen', established a defensive perimeter around the city of Torda . The Germans had constantly sent reinforcements, but the Hungarians will had more troops in the area. The Hungarian Second Tank Division had a positive result: dozens of T-34s were left burning on the battlefield, and the division had taken relatively few casualties. On the battlefield of Torda, all types of Hungarian tanks were present, but the new Zrinyi II Assault gun had the primary role in the battle.

The head-on assault of the Soviet and Romanian forces had failed, but flanking attempts over the river Aranyos were more successful. Finally, the Hungarians left the area on October 6th, 1944, when all forces were able to leave Transylvania .

I dedicate this scenario to Lieutenant Felícian Waczek and to the more than 2000 brave Hungarian soldiers and civilians who died in this heroic defense of the Hungarian motherland against the numerical superiority of the Russians and Romanians.
