There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
This scenario is fiction. It is inspired by the early chapters of James Fenimore Cooper's 1826 novel, The Last of the Mohicans, in which some characters -- including the daughters of English Lieutenant Colonel George Munro -- hide. The French and Indian forces highly prize their capture for personal and political reasons. are trapped in a cavern below an island at the edge of a waterfall.

Axis Player (French and Native American): Take 6 cards. You move first.

Allies Player (North American English Colonists): Take 5 cards.

Conditions of Victory:
Eight medals.

Special Rules:
Two temporary objectives for both sides in the center.

French Resistance units have their usual French Resistance abilities (move onto any terrain and battle, retreat 1-3 hexes per flag).

Unbadged Axis infantry units are special forces -- they can move two and battle.

Allied infantry are regular infantry unless they are marked with the US Rangers badge. These are special forces -- they can move two and battle.

Allied units have the "stiff upper lip" ability. They roll a one-die attack in response to a close assault attack that ends with their unit having only one figure (as long as they do not retreat).

Please note that this scenario was not approved by Richard Borg or Days of Wonder, so you have to check yourself about playability, potential gaming issues, etc.
