Campagne 1 - Scénario 1
Après une défaite humiliante à Bodange, les Alliés cherchent une revanche sur la Campagne Aéroportée. L'Axe lance l'assaut au centre en massacrant l'unité isolée, qui survit héroïquement, et en prenant position dans la tourelle le long du canal. Les Alliés ripostent en faisant intervenir leurs unités du flanc droit, et s'engage un combat pendant lequel la première tourelle saute. L'Axe lance ensuite un assaut généralisé sur l'autre flanc, qui lui permet de grapiller deux médailles, malgré l'action héroïque des Alliés. Les unités belges repliées dans les deux tourelles jumelles lancent enfin une fusillade, aidée par l'artillerie, qui arrache de justesse la victoire, malgré l'explosion de deux tourelles.

Bataille très intense.
Les belges parviennent vite à tuer 3 unités sur la droite.
Les allemands ont du mal avec les dés à saboter les tourelles.
Pour finir les allemands contre attaquent sur la gauche et parviennent à tuer des unités
3 tourelles détruites.

Fall Gelb Grand Campaign. Game 1 of Airborne Operation. Germany seized control of the "impregnable" fort in six highly efficient turns. Although the Belgium defenders reacted quickly to the airborne assault, playing a Move Out card on the first turn, the ordered infantry failed to blunt the attack due to poor shooting. German sappers destroyed turrets on the first and fourth turns on the way to the easy victory. Victory Point totals (including Objective Points): Germany 7, Allies -1.

The Germans took sabotaged two turrets early but were unable to capture the other two. As a result, the Allies were able to pick away at the German units to secure an early victory.

Les combats ont fait rage au centre, une tourelle a été détruite.
Les 2 casemates à gauche sont tombées submergées par l ennemi.
J ai eu de la chance d avoir les commandements nécessaires pour répondre aux attaques allemandes.
J ai pu contre attaquer en envoyant mes renforts de l extrémité du fort.
J ai rejeté un groupe de fantassins en dehors des remparts et repoussé les autres survivants en bordure de canal.

Ending up taking out 5 Belgian units and only destroying one gun. Part of the reason why this worked was that the board is heavy in the center section, especially for the Belgians. They drew a number of cards that they couldn't use. Although, their artillery eliminated one of my units fairly quickly.

I was going to play this one solo as the start of a campaign. but Becky offered to play so I accepted. The Germans had started blowing the turrets on the first turn but was only able to take out one before the Belgians started advancing and challenging them. The Germans dug-in (odd for sappers) and this proved very helpful as they were able to sit on the turrets and attack them. One more was destroyed this way but the other unit was eliminated. The German plan was to blow 3 of the turrets and then pull into a defensive position. Doing so pulled all units out of the left flank and slowly my hand started to fill up with left flank cards. I used both an artillery barrage and tank assault to order one unit. My back was broken by a behind enemy lines card that advanced a Belgian unit in close to destroy a weakened unit and then hide in a forest. While I took care of this unit, it did enough damage so that when she played a barrage card and earned her fifth medal. I had killed two units and eliminated 2 turrets. As the Germans I would try the strategy again. With some better cards on my end and some weaker cards on hers I think this is winnable.

Premier match retour de cette grand campagne que nous commençons.
Déjà une artillerie en renfort pour moi et qui me ser utile.
Mon adversaire ne peux ou veux pas aller chercher les médailles des tourelles. La premier partie se fait sur mon flanc droit ou j'élimine une unité. Une infiltration me permet de me recentrer et d'en éliminer une autre. Mon adversaire n'est pas en reste. Il recentre son flanc droit. Mes deux unités dans les casemates font de la résistance et c'est a elles que je dois une partie de ma victoire. Je finis par "tout au centre" et je remporte le scénario 5/4( dont une médaille tourelle pour lui).

My first turn TFH got to order two infantry and I attacked on my left -- getting 3 hits on the infantry in the fortress and 2 on the sandbag infantry. On my next turn I kill off the 2 fig infantry but miss the fortress 1 fig infantry.
I lose a 2 fig infantry on my left. I then occupy two gun turrets -- one by the canal. I miss the 1 fig fortress infantry again -- yikes!!
I lose another infantry and now trail 2 to 3. I then fail to blow either gun turret but do pick off that pesky 1 fig fortress infantry along with a 2 fig center infantry to lead 3 to 2.
My GENERAL ADVANCE sees me order 6 units (after failing to blow the canal gun turret again). I reoccupy another gun turret in the center and attack the two field bunker infantry -- hitting both of them.
I then lose 5 infantry figures. Two more attempts to blow the occupied gun turrets fail -- so far 7 attempts at this and no medals.
I kill off both field bunker infantry and lead 5 to 2.
After losing a 1 fig infantry to the arty I finally blow a gun turret and win the game 6 to 3.
In spite of the score a close run thing with me having two 2 fig infantry and a 1 fig infantry on the board.

Aided by the AMBUSH card I quickly killed off two German units -- one on my right and another on the center.
But a after a Gun Turret is sabotaged for a German medal a German INF ASSAULT orders 5 units and I lose 2 units myself. The Germans have jumped into the lead at 3 to 2.
My arty picks off a 1 fig German unit in the Field Bunker by the canal to tie the game.
A second German attempt to blow a Gun Turret fails and a plane come in to Interdict two of my right units. In the next German turn the Gun Turret sabotage fails again but a CENTER ASSAULT orders four infantry and the plane -- my 1d AC misses the plane. It strafes and hits 2 out of three of my infantry and I then lose a 2 fig right infantry to a two infantry attack.
I play FIREFIGHT and miss my first 4 shots but then my arty hits twice with its 3 shots. I had hoped to kill one of the German infantry that turn.
Johan then leaves his plane without an order as a 1 fig infantry heads away from danger and another infantry moves onto the Gun Turret by the canal.
Trailing 3 to 4 and stuck with three right cards and an ARMOR ASSAULT I feel I must use my right card and order my two 3 fig infantry there to charge the German infantry on the Gun Turret by the canal. With luck I might kill it and avoid the possibility that it will blow it on the Gun Turret on the next German turn. That is exactly what happens and I have tied the game 4 to 4.
My arty is able to finish the game next turn as it picks off the 1 fig infantry that sought shelter in the Field Bunker by the Canal - the second German 1 fig infatry to die there during this game.

A very bloody battle.
After turn 3 had ended I had lost 3 infantry while killing off 2 Belgium infantry. But I was able to pick off another infantry to tie the game. A turn later my MOVE OUT saw one of my infantry occupy the gun turret by the canal while killing off an infantry in a field bunker and reduce another to 2 figs. I now lead 4 to 3.
After one of my infantry was reduced to 2 figs I played M & M and whiffed on the 5d roll for that unit -- I had also failed to destroy the gun turret I had moved into last turn -- a wasted turn for me and a turning point in the battle.
I missed blowing the gun turret again.
On the next Belgium turn a BAARAGE wiped out my 2 fig infantry I had retreated in the field bunker next to the canal. I had pulled back this unit in the prior turn to try and safe guard him.
At the end there were 4 German full strength units on the board opposed by three Belgium infantry and the arty. My hand at the end consisted of 3 right cards -- which were not very useful and the ARTY BOMBARD and an ARMOR ASSAULT card.

This game started out with a bang and deadly fire saw me kill three German units for the loss of my one at the end of the 2nd turn.
But then on Genes 3rd turn he destroyed the gun turret near the canal on his first attempt. Then his CLOSE ASSAULT with three units saw him kill off one infantry and reduce 2 others to 2 figs. The game was now a 3 to 3 affair and my defenders looked to be in trouble.
The follow up German CENTER ASSAULT then killed off both my 2 fig infantry and now it was a 5 to 3 German lead -- ouch!!
I could only answer with a CENTER 2 hoping a 1d attack vs a 1 fig unit and a 3d attack vs a 3 fig unit would take out at least one of them. Well both attacks worked and I pulled victory from the jaws of defeat -- whew!!

This time, as compared with the previous battle at Bodange, my dice were actually serving me well.
I immediately sent 3 units onto the turrets and began planting explosives.
For the most part, Adam left his units in their terrain cover.
It was a while before I remembered that my troops were actually Combat Engineers. I didn't use their benefits until the end, and boy did I like them.
I never brought in any planes even though we were using air rules.
I only actually destroyed 2 of his infantry units by standard attacks. He also took out 2 of mine.
I only achieved the 5 medals needed for victory by blowing up those 3 turrets that I managed to get my troops onto. I missed the turret that was nearest to the allied edge of the battlefield.
This felt like it favored the Germans, but oddly enough, the stats on the website show that it's close to 50% for both sides.

Les alliers se sont concentrés sur le flanc droit. Ils ont éliminé les deux infantries allemandes. La tourelle située près de la rivière a été prise dès le départ des hostilités. Par la suite l'infaterie a essayer d'eliminer les infantries alliers du flanc droit, mais sans succès. Les deux infanteries des alliers situés au SUD sont venus en aide au infanteries du flanc droit afin résister à la poussé de l'axes.

First game of my first memoir cmpaign. Germans managed to destroy 2 turretts in the first 3 turns of the game then they where severely beaten by good combo of cards. Finished 5 to 4 but if you count german's bonus point it was an even match!

This was a very tense battle. The Allies thought there was not a prayer when the Germans called forth their reserve artillary unit placing it between two areas of the field. The battle turned when one brave infantry unit went Behind Enemy Lines to destroy the artillery unit. With the Axis communication cut to the center, the Allies were able to mount a surprising comeback anf take the field and the day!

Great Allied cards the first three turns (Ambush, Inf Assault, DHQ, Bombard) gave them a 3-1 lead after 3 turns. I tied the game with two kills, but then an Allied TFH with two orders game them a 4-3 lead, and I had to bring in a Storch with a Recon-1 to avoid making it even worse.
All but one of the seven kills up to this point were near the Allied center-right seam.
My fourth demolition attempt of the game succeeded, at the German edge of the board, on turn 9. This was on a Move Out, when I alse began attacking the field bunker on the edge. I lost a unit in that skirmish, but two turns later, I scored the kill, to make it 5-5.
Against the other field bunker, a couple of lucky hits for me and unlucky misses for the Allies meant I had a 2-figure inf in the woods, and the Allies had a 1-figure inf running down toward the fortress for safety. I played Air Power and strafed it to complete a nailbitingly close victory.
14 turns, 6-5 medals. Allied advantage in figures, 25-20. Good game, Philoo!

German started with a good hand - Assault Right, Firefight, Probe Center, Recon Center, Move-Out, and one Air Sortie. A Move-Out card ordered 4 infantries but the whole dices were only able to reduce the surrounded enemy to 1-fig and he escaped to the back.
Not only that, in the next turn, he was healed back to 3-fig and reduced an enemy to 2-fig.
Allies right flank artillery plays a big role in helping the defender repel the German sappers as they rolled a lot of attack from that side and slowly weakened all the Sappers in the center flank.
Even though both sides did roll a lot of bad dices, but the defending position favors the Allies and with the German suffered with no center cards throughout the later game, Allies quickly gained medals and won the game by 5-4.
German was only able to demolish one turret and with still many turrets weren't secured, their assault plan could be troubled in the next wave of attack.

Mon adversaire peu à l'aise avec les troupes du génie n'a pas été assez agressif. Les dés se sont équilibrés. Les belges ont fini par vaincre grâce à une artillerie de réserve habilement placée et l'occupation des tourelles centrales. Un duel au couteau pour la casemate termine cette bataille. Une tourelle détruite seulement.

Pas de jetons de résèrve utilisé sur cette partie, l' histoire n' a aps été refaite, les parachutiste allemand ont tardé à sabotter un objectif...le score aurait pû être plus large mais je voulai absolument les 4 tourelles...une belle victoire de l' axe, malgré une bonne stratégie des alliés...

The Allies put up a tough fight and the Germans ran into some trouble taking out all of the defending troops. With a little luck and some fancy movement, the Allies managed to wear the Germans down and prevent them from destroying the bunker that would have given them the victory!

German Engineers managed to collect all of the objective markers in this one. The Axis player was more focused on wiping out the bunkers than fighting, and that tactic seemed to work.

This was a well fought battle, although the high medal count pretty much resulted in the decimation of both sides. The Engineers close assault abilities were a large factor in their victory, plus some lucky rolls for sabotage. Three bunkers were destroyed.
