Contexte historique :
On April 1st, 1945, around 150,000 Marines and soldiers hit the beach at Okinawa. They were going up against some 60,000 Japanese soldiers, who were prepared to die. Not only was it to be a Japanese soldier killing 3 Marines, but it was estimated that the Marines had 6 times the firepower of the Japanese. Not only that, but some of the soldiers were from the IJN, and very were armed for ground combat (Most were armed for the air). The Marines also had flamethrower tanks to provide support. But amazingly, it took the Marines a little less than 3 months to clear the area, 87 days, before it was mission accomplished. But all together, the Americans won.

The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
