How to get Battle Map to show on SFTF Tue, 20 September 2011 02:23
Hi fellas,

I would like to publish a scenario for everyone to try but I can't seem to get the battle map to show. The scenario title shows on my private SFTF,but when I click on it only the text is there but no battle map to the left. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The process to do that is listed on the last 2 pages of the users manual for M44 online - hope that helps.

Thanks JP but that doesn't answer my question. I have saved the scenario to SFTF. It shows my scenario name, front and date in the private section but it doesn't show the map. When I click on it to play, it shows my rules and historical content but again not the battle map. When I click start solo game it then says unknown error and kicks back to the SFTF page. It seems like everything was transferred over when I clicked on 'Save on Days of Wonder online' but the map. It also says that I successfully saved the scenario. Again, any ideas?

Make sure it is listed public.

Then open the editor and open the mission from the DoW server.

When you do that you will see a Memoir'44 icon next to the mission and you need to click that.

Thanks Jokull, but it still doesn't work. When I open from 'Days of Wonder online' it doesn't show anything in Missions in Progress or Mission Accomplished. Does private or public scenario mean anything at this point? I did set it on public but still didn't the battle map but got same results as on private. Why does it show my scenario(but no Battlemap) when I open to play regularly but doesn't even show my scenario as being listed either privately or publically when I open from Days of Wonder Online through the editor? Help!!

Hello,

I fixed your scenario.

The problem was that you set the "Original Scenario ID" field to 1.

Always, always leave it to 0

This field is NOT a version number. It refers another scenario as a reference. Here, you were referencing scenario #1 - which does not exist.

The next version of the Editor won't show this field, because it is misleading. But in the meantime, don't use it.

Thanks,

Yann

Yann, I made original scenario 0 and battlemap now shows on SFTF. It also shows under Open with Days of Wonder Online. That's great. However, I cannot play the scenario solo online under my scenarios. It still says battle has been interrupted by unknown error. Do you have any idea what the problem is now? Thanks for your help.
