Hi all,
I have taken 2 weeks, and painted the whole 217 figures. Probably about 35-40 hours work. It was a compromise between doing a descent job and not taking too long.
For anyone thinking of doing the same thing, basic block colours, a little simple dry brushing and most importantly black ink washes and Veni Vedi Vici shield designs make all the difference!
For most of the figures i have used an excess of either red green or blue in their clothing to make it clear what type of troop they are. Again a compromise between accurate painting and remembering these are games pieces and anything that aids recognition on the board is a good thing.
