I hate when that happens! For me, it sometimes happens in front of my class...

"Please get out your pencils and a piece of paper...wait, what are we going to write about again?! Shoot!" Laughing

Let us know if you remember. Very Happy

Whoa...don't talk about that thing,at least, for the weekend! Shoot, I'm still in that period! I'm very afraid of surprise-tests!
When the teacher says that, I'm always thinking: "There's a scenario waiting for you at home!" Razz

That is a big oops! I think if my cat, Tobias, ruined a Memoir battle he would be banished to the outdoors for any future battles! Luckily he doesn't get up on tables anymore and is more interested in watching TV than playing Memoir '44 with us! Laughing

When i was playing a scenario with USSR command rules, the Axis surprised me by moving units straight into the middle of a large group of units that i had. By that time i had a card under the chip already, which was movement in a different sector, so i couldn't react. By the axis next go, he played his card and got the units he wanted to win. The USSR rule is a great twist to a scenarion...

but at the end of this battle, i said more than "oops" !!!!!!!

Actually, I started THIS thread before I researched my question on the Forum. Then, of course, I found the answer on a thread from last year. Now what do I do? So I couldn't figure out how to eliminate the thread I had started so I just removed the text and titled it oops. Thanks for the Mulligan guys.

However, maybe we should run with this thing and list the stupidest things we did during a game. A bloopers version!

Setting up a PBEM game against my toughest opponent. Opened the scenario, drew an absolutely amazing hand of cards, wished my opponent luck ... and discovered that I had forgotten to begin a logfile.

I think I can top that - same situation only followed by some of the greatest rolls I ever had.

I go to close the game and no screen prompt to save a log file (of course not as I did not start one) - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mad

As to my real life - many yrs ago in High School my English teacher assigned us to do research for a paper to be completed in class on Mon.

Monday rolls around, I strolled into that class without a care in the world. Then I hear this voice shortly after I take my seat "OK ,class, write up a 3 page report on the subject you researched over the weekend". Oooooops. Yes folks you guessed it - I had forgotten about this about 5 min after I left the room on Fri. Well, the first thing I did was to tell myself not to panic, then the second thing I did was panic. After about 5 min of staring at the blank paper in front of me, I came up w/ a kernel of an idea. I started to feverishly (it felt like I had a fever w/ all that sweat) work on this, flesh it out a bit and add some filler. I came up w/ 3 pgs, but would it fly. Well, the next day the papers came back to us and I pulled down a B+. I laughed about that one for a long time.
