There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
After failing to break through in the Ardennes, Hitler launched an offensive in Alsace. On January 20th 1945, Hitler ordered his remaining troops in the Ardennes to retreat and form reinforcements for the offensive in Alsace. Some troops were left behind to slow down the allied advances. On January 21st, the allied forces advanced from the Schumann crossroads towards Wiltz. Will the German garrison in Wiltz manage to hold their ground, or will the American troops clear the town of all German presence?

The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn. You are in command.

! This is supposed to be a winter scenery, but to be able to play this online, I have used normal countryside terrain.

Allied player, draw 6 cards. You play first.
Axis player, draw 5 cards.

Conditions of Victory:
6 medals for both sides.
The two churches and the castle of Wiltz each are a temporary medal for the axis player. The axis player starts the game with one medal for each of those hexes. Whenever the unit leaves the hex or is eliminated the medal is returned to the hex.
Exit markers are in effect for the allies on the road to the east. (Axis baseline)

Special Rules:
The 4 mountain hexes are impassible and block fire.
The river is impassible, except at the bridge.
The hedgehogs represent roadblocks but are played as hedgehogs. Terrain 5: hedgehogs.
Terrain 19, churches are in effect.
Terrain 22, field bunkers are in effect.
Terrain 24, fortresses are in effect.
Specialized units, troops 2, are marked with a badge.
Non-specialized axis infantry has only 3 figures.
Snipers, troop 10, are marked with a badge.
Due to the winter conditions, armor can only move 2.
