There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
August 1944, after two months of small gains in land, the Allies began to win back more and more ground in France. The Krauts use everything they can find to slow down the Allies: sabotage, raids, and the mining of bridges that would allow Allies to advance further. The village of La Bannière is located beyond the river. Problem: all the bridges are mined, except one that the Germans forgot in their haste. A few French resistance fighters had observed the scene and know which bridges have been mined, the problem is that they are now held prisoners in the village of Lacroix.
Objective for the Allies: free the prisoners and cross as quickly as possible to the other side of the river despite German resistance.
One must suffer and bear his cross

6 command cards for each side.
The Allies play first.

Conditions of Victory:
8 medals.
1 temporary medal for the central hexagon of the village of Lacroix.
1 permanent medal for the Allied player if he finds a dummy mine. (4 mines, 5 possibilities: 0-1-1-2-4)

Special Rules:
An elite German armored unit.
