Historical Background: After the defeat of the battle of the Bulge, the German Army was not able to prevent the invasion of "Vaterland" by Allied forces. On the western front, 1st and 9th US armies were nearby to surround the Ruhr and its defenders. 3rd US Armored Division "Spearhead", under the command of general Rose, was running to Paderborn, Mecca of the Panzerwaffe (German armored forces). Stopped one day long by fierce combats in Kirchborchen, known as "Bazooka town" because of the use of numerous "Panzerfaust", the "Spearhead" capture Paderborn on the 1st of April 1945. The same day, the junction between the two US armies was done at Lippstadt, the Ruhr was definitively surrounded. The "Spearhead" was victorious but had lost its commander, killed in action on the 30th of March. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory: 7 medals, the church of Paderborn is a permanent medal objective for the Allied player.
Special Rules: - Use "Elite Armored Units" rules (Troop 2) to the Axis armored units in the right and left sections. - Use "Tiger" rules (Troop 16) to the Axis armored unit in the central section. - Use "Special Weapon Assets" rules (SWA 1 & 2) for the three Axis units with antitank badges. - Use "Fordable Streams" rules (Terrain 61) for the Lippe river.
