Historical Background: German troops of 65.Infanterie Division were entrenched on hills north of Sangro River. The 17th Indian Brigade (8th Indian Division) was ordered to cross the Sangro and to attack Mozzagrogna fortified village. The attack began on the 27th of November and Gurkhas captured the village, but because the British tanks didn't joined in time they were repelled by a German counter-attack in the morning of 28th November. Finally Mozzagrogna was recaptured in the evening by the 1/12th Frontier Force. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Germany] : 5 command cards. Allied player [United Kingdom/India] : 6 command cards, you move first.
Conditions of Victory: 7 medals. Mozzagrogna and Fossacesia are each a temporary medal-objective for the Allied player.
Special Rules: - Use "BCF Command" rules (Nations 5) to all Allied units. - Use "Collapsibles rafts & boats" rules (Actions 5) for the all Allied infantry units with battle star. - The Axis player lays out the minefields (Terrains 29). - Use "Pontoon Bridge" rules (Terrain 33). The Allied player could place two bridges in the game. A bridge could be installed only when an Allied unit had landed on the other bank of the Sangro River, in the same section.
