Historical Background: During Operation Marita and after the invasion of Yugoslavia, German troops advanced towards Greece. Head of the XXXX.Armee Korps (mot.), the motorized brigade Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler was stopped by the 19th Australian Infantry Brigade which was defending the Klidi Pass. In the morning of the 12th April, the waffen-SS of the 1st company of Kampfgruppe Witt assaulted the Australian defenses on hill 997. Then the 7th SS company attacked hill 917. Early in the afternoon, the two hills captured, all units of the Kampfgruppe made a general attack, supported by assault guns (sturmgeschutz). At 17h00, Klidi village was captured and the way to the south was open. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Germany] : 6 command cards, you move first. Allied player [Australia] : 5 command cards.
Conditions of Victory: 6 medals. Klidi village is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.
Special Rules: - Use"BCF Command" rules (Nation 5). - Special Weapon Asset Rules (SWA 1) are in effect for the three Allied units with antitank badges (SWA 2). - Use "Blitz" rules (Action 15). - The Allied player lays out the minefields (Terrain 29).
