Historical Background:
On the 26th of November 1941, the British troops tried to break the surrounding of Tobruk made by Axis troops. From Tobruk side, units of the 70th British Infantry Division advanced toward El Duda while from the other side, the 4th NZ Brigade attacked toward Belhamed and the Axis by-pass road. During the night, the 19th NZ Battalion, supported by a Matilda tanks squadron of the 44th RTR, joined the 1st Essex Battalion of the 70th British Infantry Division. A corridor was created, the siege of Tobruk was virtually ended.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
