Historical Background: To support the Soviet offensive in Manchuria in August 1945, the Soviet Pacific Fleet had to attack the harbor of Seishin to cut the logistic path of the Japanese army in Manchuria. The landing was made mainly by the 13th Marine Brigade who formed the first and second echelon of the landing. One company, under the command of Senior Lieutenant Yarotsky, landed on the 13th of August as a van guard and infiltrated the enemy city. The next day in the morning, the main force landed under the cover of the fire made by the destroyer Voikov and Mine-layer Argun. The battle was fierce against Japanese troops and there were several hand to hand fights. An armored train was destroyed by the fire of the ships of the Pacific Fleet. On the 16th of August, the harbor of Seishin was in Soviet hands. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
