Historical Background:
At the end of the Gazala battle, British troops tried to reorganized in the el Adem area, using the fortified "box" still available. But Rommel was faster and sent his panzers north of el Adem to isolate the Tobruk garrison. On the 16th of June, the 90.Leichte Afrika Division attacked the "box" of el Hatian, defended by the 29th Indian Brigade. This attack was from the north and el Adem whereas the two previous attacks from the south were unsuccessful. This new attack was again a defeat, the German soldiers failed to break the Indian lines.
