Historical Background:
On July 5th has begun the Koursk Battle. The German objective is to surround the russian armies into the Koursk "nose" by a double pincer attack on the basis of the nose. On the North, Model is leading the assaukt against Rokossovski. In the meantime, Manstein is doing the same on the South against Vatoutine. The target is to do the junction on the East of Koursk city. Indeed, there were 2 battles for the Germans, and it was the biggest battle of tanks as well air battle in term of density of the WW2.

We are on July 5th just before the beginning of the assault by Model troops. Thanks to their expertise with the Maskirovka - the art to hide and hide his intention to his ennemy - the russians have succeeded to keep hidden their defensive positions until the last minute, reason why the russian units are hidden.
The halftrack is representing the capacity that the Germans hadto repair during the battle the damaged tanks (by the numerous anti-tanks weapons of the russians and the fields of mines).
